Sabikui Bisco S01

After the apocalypse, a plague-like wind blows across the arid and lifeless dunes of Japan. As the wind equally sweeps away all living and non-living things, rust (a type of fungus) is all that remains in its wake. It is believed that the spores of the fungi are the cause of the world's disastrous state. Bisco Akaboshi, known as the "Mushroom Keeper," is a wanted criminal archer whose arrows, wherever they land, grow fungi. However, he is actually a "Mushroom Protector," someone who spreads the fungi to enrich the soil and restore it to its former state. Bisco, along with the crab Akutagawa and young doctor Miloa Nikoyanagi, embarks on a search across the barren lands of Japan for the legendary "Sabikui" – a medicinal mushroom said to devour all types of rust.
